while in the non-scanned Latin, it's:

Perhaps this should be reconciled?

Agreed - scansion should be:
GÄÂllÄÂcÅ«m RhÄ“n' hÃ…ÂrrÄÂbÄÂl' aÄ“quÃ…Âr Å«ltÄÂ-
