| | I have a translation for Catullus' poem Carmen 56 (see below), and it is very different from the English translation on your site. Do you know if there is a definitive English translation?? I am planning on using it for an exhibition catalog, so it's important that the translation is accurate. Many thanks for your help!

I admit, it is rare for me to see a decent translation of a poem which also rhymes, but this is one of them! It's not really literal, but it does capture much of the poem. I heartily approve.
