| | I found it strange, that there are only few Russian translations of Catullus on this site. Because it's been some 80 years since Catullus was translated into Russian: all of his works. The works, which are published on this site are also somewhat dubious: these are rhymed imitations rather than accurate translations. While there are excellent translations of Catullus by Sergei Shervinsky, Andrei Piotrovsky (who translated all of Catullus), Maxim Amelin and recently tranlations of Rachel Torpusman were published... All of them are serious classic philologists and good poets.
