What perverse purpose, poor little Ravidus,
Hurls you headlong onto my iambics?
Which god – ill-invoked by you – prepares
To start for you a crazy brawl?
Just so you can become a topic of popular gossip?
What do you want? To become famous any old way?
You will, since you decided to fall for my love
At the risk of an everlasting punishment.

Thanks -- I've replaced the old translation with the new one.

The old translation was:

Tell me derranged-minded little wretch Ravidius,
what drives you headfirst into my verses?
What god having been called on by you not well
prepares to arouse a dimented brawl [tibi] in your head?
Or is it that you may come into the mouths of the mob?
What do you want? Do you wish to be known by any means necessary?
You will be since you wished to love my boyfriend
[during the time of] a punishment.
